What more can I say
Two things invaded my little world this weekend. The heat. And the now 4 day long compost fire 1/2 mile from us on the site of an old goat farm. How convenient that they started the burn on our hottest days when we'd be running the air conditioning full blast. Everyone's homes are filled with the acrid smell. Our outdoor thermometer is in the shade! We had 112F/44.4C for quite a while yesteday afternoon.

Oh my. You poor people! Not just a burn, but a burn near a GOAT farm, I can't imagine the smell.. well, actually I am imagining the small, and it's beyond awful.
Hope this doesn't keep up for long.

Wow, I thought it was hot here (in our little middle-of-nowhere town!) But we never got above 100 (plus 55% humidity, which makes a "heat index" of about 115!)
That hot in late November?? Poor you. I had no idea hot weather like that still happens in a northern area in late fall/early winter. It's unusually warm in MN now, too, but tomorrow should be about 60 which might break a record.
